In November of every year our parish holds a parish mission from the Fathers of Mercy. The mission is alternated between St. Helen and Our Lady of the Caves each year. The visiting priest gives mission talks at 7pm each night and closes with Benediction. On the final night, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered instead of the Holy Hour. There will be plenty of opportunities for Confession, and it is a great chance to be refreshed with the basic teachings of our Catholic faith. The topics include but are not limited to: the Sacraments (especially Confession and the Eucharist), the Ten Commandments, the Church as the Bride of Christ, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. To know the actual date of the mission, please pick up a church bulletin in October or November, or look at our calendar of events on our website. Please don't miss the chance to renew your love for Christ and adore Him in the Blessed Sacrament, reconcile with Christ and His Church through the Sacrament of Confession, and stir a new fervor in you for the Catholic faith.
